The Parent Teacher Association is committed to helping keep children, parents and community members

of on-site vaccinations, and Novartis Vaccines to provide convenient access to influenza vaccinations for all members of our
community.
To help keep everyone healthy, PTA will be hosting a vaccination clinic at West Vincent Elementary
November 14, 2009 from 9:00 AM to 12:00 PM for the whole family and the community.*
Vaccinations will be administered by qualified health professionals and each vaccination will cost $25 for pre-registered,
$27 onsite and $30 for the FluMist. Anyone getting the FluMist must pre-register. Medicare Part B will be accepted from those

*Influenza
vaccines are not currently approved for children under six months of age and may not prevent the disease in 100% of individuals.
Persons should consult their healthcare providers to determine if they have a condition that precludes them from receiving
the vaccine. All vaccines have side effects. The most common side effects of influenza vaccines include local reactions and
mild general symptoms.
Will the H1N1 Vaccine
be available?
Flu
Busters is located in Atlanta where the CDC is and is monitoring the release of the H1N1 vaccine. IF the vaccine is readily
available, then we will do our best to have it also. Since it is a new vaccine it might have a more controlled release and
have limited quantities. It has been said that the regular Flu vaccine is better than no vaccine to help fight H1N1. If you have any questions,
please ask your doctor.
