Blood Drive

There will be a blood drive at West Vincent Elementary.
The Blood Drive is to honor our 3rd
grade student Reagen Amand. She has received over 40 transfusions over the past 5 years , and is still currently needing transfusions
to sustain her cells in order to continue her chemotherapy treatments.

Softball is an exciting and passionate game.
It's also a lot of fun! West Vincent's 5th and 6th grade intramural program will include an eight game season. The
games will be held in the school gymnasium (Due to the outdoor field not being completed yet) from 3:00-4:15. Please be sure
to pick up your child at door "#2" promptly at 4:15. This door is located next to the front doors. Students will
not be permitted to exit the school with anyone until they receive permission from Mr. Hineman who must have parents initial
the sign out sheet before taking their child.

First Annual WV Fit Fest
The WV Wellness
committee announces its "Fit Fest" Friday Sept 25 6-8 pm. Over 20 local businesses will be present to inform students
AND parents about local recreation/activities and healthy food promotion/demonstrations. Students will be able to watch or
try a variety of activities. Mr. Smoothy will sell yogurt smoothies. The event is free to everyone in the community.
Vendors and activities include Cooking for Re, Mr. Smoothy, Pearls Market, Power Play-ice skating, Simply
Yoga, Chest County Parks, Welkenweir, Maysie's Farm, YMCA-Pottstown, Gymolympic Sports Academy, Monkey Joe's, Martial
Arts, Horseback Riding, Zumba, OJR MS Flags, Rock Climbing,Tennis Addiction, Twirl Sports, Personal Trainer (kids), Bicycling,
WV outdoor classroom, Vital Touch (nutrition) and Lionville School of Dance.

Parent-Teacher Conferences will be held for Grades K-6 on Wednesday, October 21st and Thursday, October
22nd, 2009. Please note that teachers will be scheduling conferences on Wednesday from 12:30 - 8:00 pm
and on Thursday from 12:30 - 8:00 pm. Kindergarten teachers are scheduling an additional day on Friday,
October 23.
There is no school on Wednesday and Thursday. School will be in session on Friday.

Thursday, November 5th from 3-4 p.m. is our first K-Kids Club Orientation meeting in the Library Classroom

Flu Vaccination Clinic
Vaccinations
will be administered by qualified health professionals and each vaccination will cost $25 for pre-registered, $27 onsite and
$30 for the FluMist. Anyone getting the FluMist must pre-register. Medicare Part B will be accepted from those eligible. Participants
will also be able to receive additional tips on staying healthy during this influenza season.
