Terracyle Program Comes to West Vincent!
The PTA is collecting clean, empty CapriSun, Honest Kids, Kool-Aid, and generic brand drink pouches.
By collecting these, the PTA will receive 2 cents per pouch, and the pouches will be diverted from landfills.
We
will send these to TerraCycle, Inc., a company which will turn the pouches into bags, pencil pouches, folders, and more. Their
products are available on their website at terracycle.net.
It's important that only empty pouches without straws
are collected. We are not collecting other types of beverage containers such as bottles or juice boxes. We have a collection
bin at school. If collected at home, pouches should be cut at the top seam, rinsed, and placed in a sealed gallon sized bag.
Volunteers are needed to help sort the recyclables collected.
Please email Heather Delong if interested in helping.
