FIT Family Hike at Warwick Park on 10/21

The first Families in Training event for the year, a 1-mile family hike, will be held at Warwick Park at approximately 4:30 p.m. directly following the annual Elementary School Cross Country Race.
The Owen J. Roberts Elementary Health and PE Department plans and sponsors the cross-country run and the young runners love to have a big crowd cheering them on, so come out and enjoy some fresh air and exercise. The cross-country runs are from 3-4:30.

The PE staff will also lead the family hike through the woods directly following the race. This is a fun way to promote a lifelong healthy activity for all. We will be giving out yummy local apples and students can crank their apples through the Apple-Corer-Peeler-Slicer machine--always a big hit!

Come Out and Be Counted--Along with all the prizes we will raffle--an i-pod shuffle, t-shirts, and more...this year one lucky school will win a Nintendo Wii and Wii FIT for rainy day exercising! The school to log the most students at FIT events this year wins!!!
