The Owen J Roberts School District Volunteer Policy is available on the OJR School Website.   This is a brief summary of requirements, so please review the information on the OJR website for full details. 

Prior to providing any volunteer services, a volunteer is required to complete, submit applications and payment for approval for their Act 34 Criminal History Report and an Act 151 (Child Abuse) Clearance Statement. Then file these in the office of the school building on whose behalf the Volunteer renders such services and the Volunteer will be required to renew their Act 34 Criminal History Report and Act 151 (Child Abuse) Clearance Statement every 5 years.   After the initial clearances are delivered to the school, the volunteer must return to the school office yearly and sign an affirmation form.  It must be done in person, in the school office.     (Although there may be opportunities that the classroom teacher directly asks for parent volunteers in the classroom, the above policy is still required.)
