WVES PTA Communications - 3/31/2019
Thanks to the nearly 300 dads, grandfathers, and girls who came to the first Daddy Daughter Dance at West Vincent Elementary. The event was a huge success and we could not have done it without the amazing group of volunteers who helped make it happen, specifically our event co-chairs, Allison Jensen, and Ariel Greco. Yearbook price goes up tomorrow! Tonight is the final night to purchase your yearbook at the $22 price. As of Monday, the price will increase to $25. To order your yearbook, click here. Please note that every 6th grader will receive a FREE yearbook - no online order is necessary!
Freddy's Frozen Custard and Steakburgers Spirit Night is on Wednesday, April 3rd from 4-8pm. Enjoy a night off from making dinner - mention to your cashier that you are part of WVES when going through the drive thru or dining inside!
The PA PTA 'Distracted Walking Poster Contest' entries are due on Monday, April 8th. Students in grades 1-6 are encouraged to design a poster reflecting this theme and submit the entries to school by 4/8. Any winner from our school will win $50! Click here for details.
Do you like soccer? Are you a Philly Union Soccer fan? If so, we have a way you can see a game and raise money for WV PTA at the same time. Anytime you purchase tickets to a Union home game between April 20 - June 8 using this link (https://groupmatics.events/group/Westvincent19) money will go back to WV PTA. You can share this link with anyone you like. List the student that referred you to the ticket sale and they can earn fun Union prizes. In the next couple of weeks, the PTA Budget committee will be creating the proposed budget for next year. Programs and events work best when we have chairpeople and volunteers to help make them happen. If you are interested in being an event chairperson or have an event/program that you would like to see potentially happen next year, please email Cindy Hutcheson (cinduyhutcheson2007@gmail.com) soon. And, as always, the monthly PTA meetings are wonderful places to hear what is happening and make suggestions. The next meeting is April 16. Thanks!
Save-the-date for Friday, April 26 from 5:30 to 7:30 for our fun Spring Spectacular event. We will have a DJ, Food Trucks, Games, Photo Booth, Raffle Baskets & Auction Items, Fun and Friends at WV!
