Earth Day - Old Magazines & Tissue Paper Collection

Earth Day is coming up on Wednesday, May 6th. This school-wide event will include activities related to gardening and crafting, so we are looking for donations of old magazines or tissue paper. Just send them in to school in a bag marked "Earth Day - for front office."

We are also in need of more volunteers to make the day a success. If you are interested in helping for all or part of the day, please email Allie Burger at

Thanks so much!

Earth Day - Donations Please!

For West Vincent's Earth Day celebration we have many projects the students are working on to beautify our campus. Kids will be planting in the gardens. Everything they plant will be donated to the Chester County Food Bank all summer long. We are building a Monarch Butterfly Waystation and have a guest speaker to inform the students about the importance of the migration of Monarch Butterflies through North American to Mexico. Tasting organic fruits and learning about organic foods. Making seed pods and more.

We are in need of donations to help complete our projects. All donations can be dropped off outside the kindergarten playground, starting Friday, May 2nd.

  • 5 Gallon buckets labeled with name
  • Perennial plants: extras you are thinning - kept moist but not wet in plastic bag or 5 gallon bucket
  • Rakes and Shovels labeled

You may pick up your donations at the end of the day May 7th.
